Something about this month’s Mactweets macarons was to be new. “Maybe drying out fruit to create a new flavour/colour powder, try Italian meringue, try new flavour combos, try getting feet if you’ve never done that before… or use your macs to create a new dessert. Out with the old, in with the new!”
Now for my second “disaster” of the week. The France Show…

I'm so sorry to hear about your macs but i do admire your steadfast attitude to keep trying! I'm sure you'll get feet soon!
Congratulations for not giving up! As a European in the US I know that different names and measuring tools can be confusing. Looking forward to following your next attempt! Reading about Earl's Court makes me nostalgic. Lived in London for 9 years. Best of luck. If you ever want to read instead of baking, come visit my blog. Thanks!

A few platry toes cracked me up. Sorry no feet! But the one with a bite out of it looks pretty tasty to me!
I have never even attempted to make macaroons so hats off to you! I buy them from a patisserie in Brighton – mainly because I love their colours so much. I also love those Lauderee (spelling?) ones but they cost an arm and a leg don't they? Your family must be having fun eating the attempts.
Shame about the France show. What a rip off.
Hi dear…..you tried and now you know that its icing sugar…..you'll be able to attack it!!!!!!!!!! What a shame about the show!!!!! Anyhow, Ted had fun, that's important. LOL. |I need to send you an email!
