Flipping Pancakes

March 3, 2011 by Sarah Trivuncic 4 Comments

Even though pancake day is relatively late this year, it still feels like it’s come round really quickly. Is it March already? We still have my sister in law’s family’s Christmas presents in the living room, I swore this year they would not hang around until Easter again but it seems history is repeating. Nothing to do with me though, I blame my husband.

I can’t remember the last time pancake day fell in March, never mind in the second week, although it’s clearly happened before. I’m hoping to knock something up with my sarrasin buckwheat flour from Brittany along the lines of these but incase I don’t, here are various pancake recipes from my archives:

Hazelnut Crepes with Maple Fudge Sauce

Chocolate Orange Crepe Suzette

Scotch Pancakes with Pink Grapefruit and Whisky Marmalade

Rhubarb and Minced Pork Pancake Rolls

So go flip but don’t flip out!

Does that mean it is good or bad for me to crow about how much better I am at tossing them?

Thanks for linking up…I’m afraid the Rhubarb and Pork combo goes against all my sweet/savoury principles, but the others look so heavenly I may have to lick the screen of my laptop 😉

I do love the sound of Rhubarb and Pork ones, might have to try those! I always buy rhubarb because I love it (only I do in my house) then I never know what to do with it apart from rhubarb crumble.
